Part-time Associate to Justice Pepper


Grade: Clerk 5/6

Role: Part time (3 days a week - Monday to Wednesday)

Salary: $99,938-$110,271 (pro rata) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation 

Start date: as soon as possible

Applications are invited for the position of Part-time Associate to the Honourable Justice Rachel Pepper of the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales.

The role of Associate is to provide high level administrative, organisational and executive support to her Honour and involves court work, assistance in the preparation of judgments, liaising with the Court registry and the legal profession and other tasks that facilitate the efficient conduct of chambers. Access to her Honour is managed by the Associate.

Essential requirements include:

  • experience in the provision of professional executive support services as either a legal secretary or executive assistant,
  • experience in litigation,
  • proven experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues,
  • high-level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills,
  • computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and word processing skills (over 60 wpm) with attention to detail,
  • excellent telephone manner,
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team, and
  • strong organisational skills and experience in planning, organising and coordinating work priorities.

Position is not suitable for a university student.
