Court Vacation 2022 - 2023

The Court's fixed vacation period begins on 19 December 2022 and the first day of term for 2023 will be Monday, 30 January 2023. 

A Duty Judge will be available during the vacation period for urgent matters.

Matters may be listed for s 34 conferences, mediations and hearing before Commissioners throughout the vacation period, except for public holidays and the public service holiday on Wednesday, 28 December 2022.

The final Registrar's directions hearing list for 2022 will be on Friday, 16 December 2022. The Registrar's directions hearing list will resume on Monday, 16 January 2023.

Both Online Registry and Online Court will be operating 24 hours a day as normal during the vacation period and parties are encouraged to avail themselves of these resources:

• Applications, appeals, notice of motion and subpoenas can continue to be filed by Online Registry.
• Online Court can be used to seek directions, access orders for subpoenas and notices to produce throughout the vacation period.
• Filings and requests in criminal matters can continue to be filed by email at LEC_criminalfilings@justice.nsw.gov.au throughout the vacation period.
