Important information regarding Land and Environment Court Rules:
(a) Announcement by Registrar
The Uniform Civil Procedure Rules will come into force on Monday, 15 August 2005. The consequence will be that the Supreme Court Rules will be substantially repealed. Accordingly, it has been necessary to provide for those Rules to continue in so far as they are relevant to the Land and Environment Court.
To this end the Court has made an amendment to its Rules, with effect from 15 August, which continues in force the Supreme Court Rules which were previously incorporated into the Rules of the Land and Environment Court. This has been done as an interim measure. The Court will now review its entire Rules with a view to adopting new rules which reflect the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules at an early date.
